Established in 1979 under the leadership of the current directors, Mossop Group Pty Ltd was founded to provide the building and property industry with a hardworking, fair and reasonable construction and specialist interiors contractor.
Our family run business has grown to become one of the larger commercial building companies based solely in South Australia, delivering a variety of commercial projects across the state in remote, regional and metropolitan areas.
Now known as Mossop Construction + Interiors, to reinforce both the construction and interior strengths of the company, our multi award winning commercial building business has an annual turnover exceeding $160 million, directly employs more than 150+ staff, and indirectly provides jobs to hundreds of local and regional subcontractors and suppliers.
As a fourth generation family business, Mossop Construction + Interiors has numerous Mossop family members working in various roles across the company. This demonstrates our ongoing company endeavour to build upon our success and develop the strong relationships established over 40+ years. The Mossop families involvement adds strength to our company’s long-term growth strategy.

History
The Mossop name has been continuously associated with the South Australian building industry since 1946 when Bert Mossop undertook general building work following his return from World War II.
In the 1950's he created a niche business building caravans for South Australian families who were increasingly looking for low-cost holidays to share with their young families.
The '60's credit squeeze put enormous pressure on Broadway Caravan construction business, but again he identified another niche and built a successful ceilings operation.
By the late 1970's his three sons, Ray, John, and Neil had served their apprenticeships in the building industry as carpenters and joiners and established their own careers in one of Adelaide's largest building companies.
In 1979 the brothers established Mossop Group Pty Ltd as a building/interior specialist and the family business has grown to become a significant South Australian based commercial construction and interiors company.
Mossop Construction + Interiors is based at 155 Port Road, Hindmarsh in the iconic Brompton Wesleyan Methodist Church originally constructed in 1875.

Refurbishment
We specialise in refreshing existing buildings and giving old tired spaces a new lease of life; best demonstrated by our own offices in the heritage-listed former Brompton Wesleyan Methodist Church built in 1875.
