Judges Comments: "The Science Centre building distinctive design is irregular in shape and topped by a unique curved and twisted roof structure. The interior also incorporates a number of exceptional features that added to the difficulty in construction. Mossop Group successfully managed service access to the University throughout construction and protected other areas from building site run-off with innovative techniques and practices. The judges were impressed by the way the contractor responded to the challenges presented by the site and design. A strong relationship was maintained with trade contractors and the client to deliver this impressive building”.
