Judges Comments: "This project involved the demolition of existing buildings, including the community services village shop and part of the Fred Martin building to enable construction of a 38 sole occupancy unit development. The new development comprises a community centre; carparking; landscaping; two x 4 storey wings and one x 3 storey wing - all containing 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units. The builder worked extensively with the client, architect and other consultants to undertake a thorough value engineering process, achieving a 10% cost saving”.
