We are thrilled and proud to announce that we have been recognised by the Master Builder’s (SA) at the Building Excellence Awards for one of the prestigious awards for Excellence in a Commercial/Industrial Building $20M-$50M for Trinity College Theatre & Performing Arts Centre- Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre. 

The Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre at Trinity College offers an incredible platform for students to explore and showcase their artistic talents. It is a space that supports the development of creative skills, artistic appreciation, and self-expression - all of which play a crucial role in personal growth at Trinity College.
 
The design of the theatre has been carefully considered to be dynamic and versatile, making it suitable for various performances, exhibitions, and creative projects. The aesthetics and functionality of the facility are modern and valuable additions to the college's infrastructure.
 
With state-of-the-art facilities, the theatre is expected to attract a wide variety of performances and events, becoming a hub for the local performing arts scene. The auditorium, with its seating capacity of 520 people, is equipped with acoustically designed batten cladding and a multipurpose performance stage. The ranked seating ensures optimal viewing, and there is a retractable orchestra pit with an orchestra lift. The inclusion of a fly tower and high-level catwalks enables stage rigging, studio lighting and sound capabilities.
 
In addition to the auditorium, other spaces within the theatre complex include a multi-purpose foyer, front of house, gallery spaces, a recording studio, a green room, a control room, staff offices, multimedia sound production spaces, a sound recording room, and a rehearsal room. All of these areas have been designed to provide suitable acoustic conditions, ensuring the best possible experience for performers and audiences.
 
The new Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre marks the beginning of an incredible journey for the students, and staff of Trinity College as they explore and express themselves through the arts. We here at Mossop, are extremely proud to have been involved in the creation of this state-of-the-art theatre which is nothing short of spectacular.

Judges' Comments: Mossop emerged as the winner of this category against a very competitive field because their workmanship, both internally and externally was near perfect, particularly in the management of complex curved walls and raked ceiling interfaces. Mossop exhibited a passion and detailed knowledge of this project from the outset thus ensuring that the intricate complexity of a theatre environment, specifically in regard to acoustics and lighting, were professionally addressed. There were few defects. The project had an absolute immovable deadline which whilst extremely tight was achieved and also meeting the school’s budget. They scored highly in all the assessment categories, not the least being from a very satisfied client.
