Neil Mossop

Neil Mossop

Director / Board Member

Neil’s career in the construction industry began as an Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner with Adelaide builder Fricker Carrington Group. After completing his TAFE Advanced Building Certificate, Neil co-founded Mossop Group Pty Ltd with his father, Bert, in 1979. As Managing Director, Neil has played a key role in guiding the company’s strategic growth, ensuring that Mossop Construction + Interiors continues to deliver high-quality projects that meet the expectations of all stakeholders while building long-lasting relationships with clients and consultants.

With over 45+ years of expertise in both building and company finance, Neil has expanded his qualifications to include Contract Law, Engineers Services, and Green Star Accreditation. His leadership and vision have been integral to Mossop’s continued success and expansion.

Neil continues to sit on the Mossop Board of Directors as Chairman, where he provides valuable insight and direction to support the company's continued growth. In addition to his work with Mossop, Neil is an active member of the industry, serving as a committee and council member of the Master Builders Association (SA), where he helps shape the future of construction and interiors in Australia.

John Mossop

Director / Board Member

John began his career in the construction industry as an Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner, gradually working his way up to Site Manager with the Fricker Carrington Group. In 1983, he joined his brothers at Mossop Group Pty Ltd as Project Manager, and his exceptional leadership and expertise soon led to his role as Construction Director. As Construction Director, John managed a large team of Project Managers and was responsible for the smooth delivery of construction and interior projects across a wide range of industry sectors.

Having recently stepped back from his role as Construction Director, John now focuses on other strategic business initiatives. However, he continues to sit on the Board of Mossop Construction + Interiors, where his extensive experience and insights, accumulated over more than 45+ years in the industry, remain invaluable in guiding the company's direction and future growth.

Ray's career in the construction industry began with Adelaide-based Fricker Carrington Group, where he started as an Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner. After completing his TAFE Advanced Building Certificate, Ray joined Mossop Group in 1980, marking the beginning of an impactful tenure.

As Director of Special Projects, Ray played a crucial role in delivering outstanding results across various sectors, consistently creating value for clients. With over four decades of industry expertise, Ray has now retired from day-to-day operations but remains an integral part of Mossop Construction + Interiors as Director and Board Member. His extensive knowledge and experience continue to guide the company's strategic direction, ensuring the continued success and innovation in the construction industry.

Grant Mossop

Joint Managing Director / Board Member

With a career built on craftsmanship, leadership, and a solid foundation in business, Grant began his journey in the construction industry after completing a Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship, alongside an Advanced Building Certificate. His passion for growth led him to further his education with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Australia.

Since joining Mossop Construction + Interiors in 1999, Grant has held key roles ranging from On-site Carpenter and Safety Officer to Site Manager and Project Manager. In 2010, he was appointed Construction Manager, where he oversees all construction project staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Grant also plays a vital role in maintaining strong client relationships and liaising with consultants, sub-contractors, and local authorities.

In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Grant was named "Master Builders Young Builder of the Year" in 2011 and was nominated for the national title. His reputation for excellence in commercial, operational, and project management has solidified his status as an industry leader. In his new role as Joint Managing Director, Grant continues to shape the future of Mossop Construction + Interiors, driving growth and innovation while overseeing the company’s strategic direction and continued success.

Aaron Mossop

Joint Managing Director / Board Member

Aaron began his career in estimating and administration while completing his Bachelor of Building Construction Management and Economics. He moved into a Project Management role and completed many diverse projects using various contract and delivery methodologies, driving exceptional outcomes through his comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry.

Appointed Business Development Manager in December 2011, his role encompasses the development of future business opportunities to grow market share and business profitability. Specifically, Aaron maintains responsibility for the development of new relationships and the management of existing key relationships with public and private clients and consultants.

Aaron is a key member on the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board, utilising over 25+ years of experience to drive the strategic growth of the company.

Lynda Simon

Joint Managing Director / Board Member

Lynda is a highly accomplished business leader with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Australia and a Certified Practising Accountant. With more than 25+ years of experience in finance and construction, she joined Mossop Construction + Interiors in 2001 as Corporate Accountant and has since played an integral role in the company's financial growth and operational excellence.

As Joint Managing Director, Lynda is responsible for the strategic direction, day-to-day operations, and long-term financial planning of the organization. She works closely with the management team to drive innovation, enhance performance, and explore new business opportunities, ensuring the continued success of Mossop Construction + Interiors.

In addition to her leadership role, Lynda serves as a key member of the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board. Her deep financial expertise, progressive approach, and vision for the future of the business have positioned her as a driving force in the company’s ongoing achievements.

Lynda’s commitment to excellence and her ability to identify and act on new opportunities continue to be essential in navigating the challenges and growth of Mossop Construction + Interiors.

Stephen Prosser

General Manager / Board Member

With more than 40 years of experience at Mossop Construction + Interiors, Stephen has been a key figure in the company’s growth and success since joining in 1982. He began in various roles before being appointed General Manager in 2008. His extensive expertise in commercial construction, contracts, and procurement has been a significant asset, providing invaluable guidance to project teams throughout the years.

As General Manager, Stephen oversees daily operations, ensuring the efficient development and implementation of management systems, financial structures, performance goals, and project supervision. He also leads the management team, focusing on business development, strategic planning, and driving the company’s ongoing growth.

Stephen holds an Associate Diploma in Building Technology, a DCMA Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and has completed a Government Building Inspectors Qualifying Course. Alongside his executive responsibilities, Stephen is a key member of the Mossop Construction + Interiors board, where he actively promotes growth, fosters innovation, and contributes to shaping the company’s strategic direction.

Stephen’s decades of experience and leadership continue to steer Mossop Construction + Interiors, maintaining its reputation as a trusted name in the industry.

David Frisby-Smith

David Frisby-Smith

Company Accountant

With over 25+ years of experience across various industries including banking, service, wholesaling, manufacturing, commercial accounting, and construction, David brings a wealth of expertise in accounting and administration. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Majoring in Accounting) from 2007 and being a proud member of CPA Australia, David has built a distinguished career in financial management.

As the leader of Mossop’s Accounts division, David oversees all aspects of the department, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company management systems. He is responsible for monitoring accounts department workflow, processes, and performance, as well as managing end-of-month and annual responsibilities. David also ensures the accurate completion of company-related taxation documentation, supports information technology systems, and champions continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

David’s expertise in both financial operations and systems management plays a key role in driving Mossop’s ongoing success and improvements

Adam Carpriotti

Adam Carpriotti

Estimating Manager

Adam joined Mossop in 2000 as an Estimator and, over the course of 22 years, has developed an in-depth understanding of the construction industry. His journey saw him progress to Senior Estimator and then Estimating Manager in 2008. Through his extensive experience, Adam has gained a wealth of knowledge in key areas such as trade packaging, material quantities, labor hours, market trends, and subcontractor capabilities—critical insights that have proven invaluable to every project he oversees.

Throughout his career, Adam has successfully secured numerous tenders across various sectors, including health, aged care, community and recreation, corrections, education (all levels), heritage, retail, and commercial. His expertise spans multiple delivery models, including Lump Sum, Design and Construct, Managing Contractor, and Early Contractor Involvement.

As Estimating Manager, Adam leads a talented team of experienced Estimators, ensuring a smooth and collaborative process from pre-tender through to trade negotiations and final engagement. His leadership is centered on delivering the best possible cost outcomes for all project stakeholders. By combining his market knowledge with a focus on teamwork, Adam continues to ensure Mossop clients receive the highest level of service and value.

Estimating 2IC

As Estimating 2IC, Dale plays a key role in assisting the Estimating Manager to lead Mossop's Estimating team from pre-tender through to pre-start and procurement. With a focus on ensuring a collaborative and outcome-driven approach, Dale helps the team provide the best value-for-money solutions for project stakeholders.

Dale’s journey with Mossop began in 2010 when he joined as an Estimator. Over the years, his consistent success in managing numerous tender bids and supporting the Estimating team saw him promoted to Estimating 2IC in 2018. Some of his recent notable achievements include leading the $156m Yatala Labour Prison Redevelopment and the $25m Flinders Medical Centre - Margaret Tobin Mental Health Redevelopment projects.

With a wealth of experience across a wide range of sectors, including education, health, office, retail, corrections, and community projects, Dale has developed a deep understanding of trade packaging, material quantities, labour hours, and subcontractor strengths and weaknesses. His extensive project involvement has allowed him to build long-lasting relationships with many clients, contributing to his solid reputation in the industry.

Simon Green

Construction Manager

As Construction Manager, Simon plays a key role in resource allocation and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, aligned with contract specifications. His leadership drives value, exceeding client expectations and fostering collaboration throughout every phase of construction.

Originally an electrical engineer in the UK, Simon moved to Australia in 1995, where he built extensive experience in the Australian building industry across tier 1 to tier 4 construction companies. With over 20 years of experience, his roles have spanned contract administration, project management, and contracts management—culminating in his current position at Mossop.

A confident communicator and a strategic leader, Simon excels in developing strong, lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams. His collaborative approach and broad industry experience allow him to influence positive stakeholder engagement and consistently deliver best-for-project outcomes. Over the past 7+ years at Mossop, Simon has successfully led the Project Management team, delivering outstanding results for our clients.

Simon's comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry and proven leadership capabilities continue to add value to our projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality results. He has managed projects up to $77 million in value, with a reputation for fostering trusted relationships with clients and trade contractors alike.

Simon's passion for excellence in construction and his ability to lead high-performing teams is instrumental to the success of our projects.

Matthew Player

Matthew Player

Interiors Construction Manager

As Interiors Construction Manager at Mossop Construction + Interiors, Matthew oversees all interior construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects. In this role, he is responsible for driving the growth of Mossop’s business in the interiors sector, ensuring that each project delivers exceptional value to clients while aligning with the company's objectives, policies, and quality standards.

Matthew began his career at Mossop in 2007 as an Estimator, working on a diverse range of projects for seven years. His ability to blend industry knowledge, practical experience, and an understanding of current market trends led to his promotion to Interiors Planner in 2014. In 2017, Matthew further advanced to his current position as Interiors Construction Manager, where he has successfully supported and led the interiors construction team on numerous projects.

Matthew has also served as Project Director and Design Manager on a wide variety of high-profile projects, including multiple collaborations with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia since 2014, across diverse project delivery models. His wealth of experience spans fit-out, refurbishment, and base building projects, including highly complex, sensitive, and secure works.

Known for his problem-solving expertise, Matthew consistently provides effective solutions to challenges that arise on projects. His approachable and collaborative style fosters positive interactions among project teams, clients, and consultants, making him an invaluable asset to Mossop’s continued success.

Paul Kassara

Contract Administration Manager

With over 20 years of experience in the Building and Construction Industry, Paul joined Mossop in 2015 as a Project Manager, bringing a wealth of expertise in managing diverse projects across sectors such as Corrections, Education, Multi-Residential, Health, Aged Care, and Community Facilities. His strong track record in fostering a collaborative approach among project teams ensures that all time, quality, and cost targets are met, providing invaluable contributions toward achieving client objectives.

As Mossop's Contract Administration Manager, Paul leads a dedicated team of contract administrators, aligning their efforts with company objectives, policies, and procedures set out in the QA and HSE Management Systems. His role involves overseeing the entire contract administration process—from the procurement of trade packages to the completion of the defects liability period—ensuring that all activities are carried out with precision and efficiency.

Paul is also responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with public and private clients, particularly cost consultants, while promoting and safeguarding the Mossop brand. His key strengths include prompt and clear communication across all project stakeholders, which facilitates early identification and swift resolution of potential challenges.

Anthony Russo

Anthony Russo

Design & Construct Manager

With extensive project experience across all aspects of the project delivery phase from design, procurement, project management, value management to handover and occupancy, Anthony has considerable, proven experience leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes on award-winning projects.

Working closely with the project team to integrate the Principal Project Requirements and key stakeholder objectives through the development of a Design Management Plan that captures the design and documentation phase activities, Anthony will ensure the linking of these to the procurement and construction phase activities.

As Design Manager, Anthony’s main responsibilities encompass buildability and constructability inputs in the design phase, achieving early resolution of potential issues, and developing with the team a detailed program integrating all project requirements in design, documentation, trade procurement, construction and occupancy activities.  As well as monitoring and controlling program performance and reporting, Anthony will further lead the development of a detailed risk and opportunities management plan (to enhance project delivery and value creation).

Another important aspect of the role will be collaboratively assisting subcontractors in the design documentation review process to ensure trades (and the site team) have a comprehensive understanding of all requirements in terms of translating the design team’s documentation into coordinated plans and shop drawings that result in productive, efficient, safe and high quality delivery onsite.

Throughout the life of the project, Anthony will implement his design and technical expertise, and collective approach as the key point of responsibility during construction, linking the project team with subcontractors to create a unified team in construction delivery and ensure high standards are maintained and design intent always achieved.

Darcy Rayner

QHSE Manager

As the QHSE Manager at Mossop Construction, Darcy plays a crucial role in enhancing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) performance across all projects. His responsibilities involve supporting a team of Site Managers and Site Safety Supervisors to continuously monitor and improve safety standards, implementing rigorous auditing systems to ensure ongoing compliance.

A key career achievement for Darcy was his leadership in the successful delivery of the $156 million Yatala Labour Prison Redevelopment project, which spanned two years and earned the prestigious 2022 Master Builders Association SA (MBASA) Work, Health & Safety Award. This recognition, along with the 2023 MBASA Work, Health & Safety Award for the Trinity College Theatre & Performing Arts Centre, highlights his expertise in managing large-scale, complex projects with a focus on safety excellence. Additional award-winning projects, including the 2011 MBASA Work, Health & Safety Excellence Award for the $35 million Ceduna District Health Service Redevelopment, further showcase Darcy’s commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Darcy’s career began as a Site Safety Supervisor in 2005, where he was instrumental in the delivery of numerous construction, refurbishment, and fitout projects across various sectors. His ability to effectively manage safety considerations led to his promotion to QHSE Coordinator in 2014 and later to QHSE Manager in 2017. Notably, he oversaw the $50 million University of South Australia Pridham Hall project, which won the 2017 MBASA Excellence Award for Work Health and Safety.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Darcy has been a driving force in reducing workplace injuries, ensuring compliance with federal safety regulations, and guiding Mossop through ongoing improvements in ISO Quality, Safety, and Environmental certifications

Craig Williamson

Craig Williamson

Mt Gambier Regional Manager

Craig joined Mossop Construction + Interiors in 2017 as the Regional Manager and Project Manager for our Mount Gambier office. With over 30 years in the construction industry, Craig brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as a Site Manager and Area Manager in the South East and Adelaide regions for 16 years.

As Regional Manager, Craig plays a pivotal role in fostering and managing key relationships with both public and private clients, as well as consultants across South Australia's South East and Western Victoria regions. He also collaborates closely with the business development team to identify new opportunities and engage with clients in these areas.

In his role as Regional Project Manager, Craig is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including the technical, contractual, and administrative components throughout the construction and defects liability periods, ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards.

Craig’s key strengths lie in his ability to communicate promptly and clearly across all levels of the project team, clients, and building representatives. This proactive communication allows for the early identification and swift resolution of potential issues, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly and on time.

Jathin Balan

Jathin Balan

Design/Business Development Manager

Jathin has extensive experience and success in all aspects of project delivery from strategic capital planning through to handover and occupancy, leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes on award-winning projects in the public and private sector.

As Design / Business Development Manager for Mossop, Jathin is responsible for the Design Phase delivery of the Design and Construct (D&C) and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects including design audits, value management, alternate building solutions, incorporating BIM, ESD and reviewing of safety-in-design.

Jathin has close to 30 years’ industry experience and also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B. Arch). Jathin brings 10 years’ experience as a practicing Architect to the role of Design Manager and 17 years of construction experience.

Also a Greenstar Accredited Professional, Jathin has attained training in BIM Essentials, Management Systems Auditing and Safety Supervision. He has lead Safety-in-Design reviews for Mossop from a construction perspective on several projects including the $45m UniSA Pridham Hall project.

Jathin has been championing innovation, sustainability and prefabrication at Mossop and considers BIM as a game changer for the construction industry to embrace modern construction methods. Jathin is well versed with BCA conditions, Green Star, NatHERS, WHS Act, OFSC Guidelines and other relevant Statutory requirements.

Peta-Marie Matschoss

Commercial Marketing Manager

As the Commercial Marketing Manager, Peta-Marie plays a key role in supporting the Business Development Manager to expand and elevate the company’s interior fit-out and refurbishment services. With a keen eye for emerging opportunities in the South Australian commercial construction and interior refurbishment sectors, Peta-Marie drives growth initiatives and fosters strong client relationships. She is also pivotal in overseeing the implementation of company policies and procedures, as well as leading Project BID Management efforts.

With over 20 years of experience in the Building and Construction Industry, Peta-Marie’s expertise is backed by a Masters in Business Management (MBA) and a Bachelor of Design (Interior Design), making her a well-rounded professional in both design and business management.

Outside of her professional achievements, Peta-Marie is deeply committed to community engagement. As the president of Mossop’s Charity Committee, she has dedicated over a decade to fundraising and volunteering efforts locally and globally.

Sascha Frost

Design Manager

With over 20 years of experience in design, property development, and construction, Sascha has consistently delivered high-profile, complex projects across Adelaide. Her expertise spans diverse sectors, where she has successfully led construction teams and shaped impactful designs that resonate across various industries.

Sascha thrives in every facet of the property and construction landscape—whether working with clients, consultants, or contractors. Her exceptional communication, collaboration, and delivery skills empower her to consistently achieve the best possible outcomes for each project.

A defining moment in Sascha’s career came as Design Manager for one of Adelaide's most significant private developments: Festival Tower in the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct. Here, she spearheaded both internal and external teams—including specialists and future tenants—delivering a fresh design vision that reimagined the entire precinct's master planning.

Her vast industry knowledge enables Sascha to seamlessly blend design with strategic project delivery, particularly on complex and high-stakes projects. Her ability to integrate design innovation, construction expertise, value management, and strategic planning sets her apart as a leader in her field.

A natural problem-solver with a flair for creativity, Sascha excels at leading teams, negotiating effectively, and translating technical details into accessible insights for diverse stakeholders—from government and private agencies to contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Fred Els

Design Manager

With over 20+ years of experience in the construction industry, Fred brings a wealth of expertise to the Mossop team. He has successfully delivered a diverse range of construction, fitout, and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors. His career has spanned key roles, including Design Manager, Project Director, Construction Manager, and Senior Project Manager, with experience in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction companies in Adelaide, New South Wales, and South Africa.

Fred is highly skilled in driving project success by unlocking maximum value through innovative thinking, exploring all available options, and collaborating closely with project teams to achieve the best solutions. His focus always ensures that project objectives are met across critical aspects such as cost, safety, programme, quality, and constructability.

As Design Manager, Fred is a pivotal point of contact throughout a project's design phase. He will manage the PPR review and development, the design program, and its development and management. His responsibilities will also include overseeing design, certification, and stakeholder approvals, as well as managing design meetings and action distribution. Fred focus on improving constructability and documentation, conducting cost planning reviews, and developing value management strategies. Additionally, he will develop the project quality plan and review Building Information Modelling (BIM) models to ensure project alignment with best practices and expectations.

Fred's depth of knowledge and proven track record make him an invaluable asset to the team, ensuring that each project progresses smoothly from concept to completion.

Matthew Holden

Lead Project Engineer

As Lead Project Engineer at Mossop, Matthew oversees a dedicated team of civil/structural and services engineers. His role encompasses managing project resources, ensuring adherence to quality plans, and assisting project teams with commissioning plans and completion documentation.

Joining Mossop in 2018 as a Project Engineer after earning his Honours Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Matthew has played a pivotal role in numerous successful projects. A key highlight in his career includes his significant contribution to the $156m Yatala Labour Prison (YLP) Redevelopment project, where his expertise was instrumental in the project’s successful completion.

Matthew is known for his unwavering diligence, integrity, and teamwork. His collaborative and honest approach with peers, clients, and colleagues embodies the core values of the Mossop Brand. With the continued growth of Mossop’s engineering team, Matthew's skill set and professional values make him an ideal fit for the role of Lead Project Engineer.

Luis Simoes

QHSE Coordinator

With over a decade of experience in the construction and safety sectors, Luis's role as Mossop's QHSE Coordinator, involves overseeing the monitoring and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) performance across various projects. His role includes conducting monthly site audits to ensure compliance with Mossop's QHSE Policies and Objectives.

Luis joined Mossop in 2014 as a Site Safety Supervisor, bringing prior experience as an HSE Representative for Wideform on the Adelaide Oval project. His qualifications include a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, alongside numerous safety credentials and high-risk work licenses.

Throughout his career at Mossop, Luis has been integral to many award-winning projects, such as the $156m Yatala Labour Prison Redevelopment, Trinity College Theatre & Performing Arts Centre, and the $47.85m UniSA Pridham Hall project, where he worked as Safety Officer.

As QHSE Coordinator, Luis leads the development of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) while guiding a large team of  Site Safety Supervisors to enhance QHSE performance organisation-wide through regular monitoring and auditing.
