Mossop recently completed the Peregrine Site Support Office Refurbishment Stage 1 with Stage 2 currently in construction.
The project comprises the refurbishment of the existing building at 270 The Parade, Kensington SA consisting of an open office plan within the old sawtooth factory. Stage 1 involved workstations, kitchen and open breakout / informal meeting space plus 4 meeting and 2 quiet rooms constructed as pods under the old sawtooth factory ceiling that had been thermally layered with Kingspan Board.
The project had challenges with constructing under the old timber truss sawtooth roof that has remained in place as a feature, no existing grid lines were straight. The existing timber truss being exposed with the pod spaces below create a highlight feature to the open office.
Mossop and the client worked closely with each other to overcome the old building’s structural problems for the final design intent to come to life.
