This project involved the construction of a new 2,500m2 terminal building owned and operated by the District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula. Predominately a single storey structure with an upper floor plant room, the new terminal consists of:

Perforated plasterboard ceilings and timber slotted feature wall cladding were used to enhance the acoustics of the building and internal spaces. Documented and constructed using 3-dimensional BIM software, Revit, the project also included a major infrastructure upgrade with the installation of new power supplies, switchboards, the supply and installation of a new generator genset; and the installation of a passive HVAC system, via an underground chamber.
Completed in just over 12 months, the building received its first incoming flights and passengers on 6 August 2013.
