Mossop's were engaged by Renewal SA under a GC21 contractor arrangement with an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to deliver the spectacular redevelopment of the former Royal Adelaide Hospital building located on North Terrace in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD to a refreshed, vibrant, social and professional space.
The project consisted of the full base building upgrade and integrated fitout of the State Heritage listed building to transform the building into a high quality, innovative precinct now known as the Allied Health Building. The project targeted and achieved a 6-Star Greenstar rating for refurbishment - the first in Australia.
The building consisted of a basement, ground and 3 upper floors. The refurbishment included a new precast entry, refurbishment and recladding of the existing bridgelink, new Northern entry balconies, a new lift shaft and lift, as well as a new structural steel stair case. The internal fitout works included new toilet facilities, kitchen facilities, offices, meeting spaces and an open plan work space. The upper bridge link space also featured a roof top terrace areas for functions.
