Completed in June 2024, the new single-storey ambulance station at the corner of Portrush and Magill Road in Norwood is designed to enhance the South Australian Ambulance Service's (SAAS) ability to deliver critical emergency services to the community. The modern facility provides state-of-the-art accommodations for up to two SAAS crews, with six Personal Welfare Rest and Breakrooms (PWRB), dedicated training rooms, a lunchroom, and essential amenities to support the well-being of staff.

The station also features ample garaging space for up to seven emergency operational vehicles, alongside undercover parking for eight operational fleet vehicles and additional visitor and training staff parking. The strategic location at a busy intersection is further optimized with traffic light controls to ensure rapid crew departure during emergencies, while careful planning of site access and egress ensures both efficiency and safety.

Mossop is proud to have served as the Managing Contractor for this vital project, collaborating closely with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), and SAAS to deliver this essential facility, which strengthens SAAS’s operational capacity and its service to the community.
