The theatre boasts a range of advanced facilities, including a 520-seat auditorium with acoustically engineered batten cladding and a multipurpose performance stage. The ranked seating offers optimal viewing, while features like a retractable orchestra pit and orchestra lift cater to a variety of performances. A fly tower and high-level catwalks provide the capability for stage rigging, studio lighting, and sound, ensuring the venue is suitable for everything from theatrical performances to orchestral music. In addition to the auditorium, the theatre complex includes a multi-purpose foyer, gallery spaces, a recording studio, a green room, a control room, staff offices, multimedia sound production areas, a sound recording room, and a rehearsal room. Each of these spaces has been meticulously designed to provide the best possible acoustic experience, making the theatre a truly immersive environment for both performers and audiences.

The creation of the Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre marks an exciting new chapter for Trinity College, providing students with unparalleled opportunities to engage with the arts and gain hands-on experience in the workings of a professional theatre. Beyond student use, the theatre also strengthens the college’s connection with the local arts community, offering a venue for external events and performances. The Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre is the only venue in South Australia designed to accommodate performing arts, orchestral music, and amplified music, making it a truly unique asset for both educational and public events.
